The Convention Director should be a well-organized individual who is proactive, capable of leading the staff and delegating responsibilities to Staff and Managers as appropriate. Applicants must have minimum 2 years’ experience (may be non-consecutive) as a Senshi Con Staff member or Manager to be eligible for this position. They must have the ability to contact and listen to all Senshi Con staff. They must be able to reject traditional methods of conduct if they prove inefficient and assist/push setting up new and more efficient methods as required. The Convention Director is responsible for completing the responsibilities of any position when certain Managers are unavailable.
Vice Convention Director
The Vice-Convention Director has the same authority as Convention Director. Applicants must have minimum 2 years’ experience (may be non-consecutive) as a Senshi Con Staff member or Manager to be eligible for this position. The Vice-Convention Direction will be second in command and will fulfil any duties of the Convention Director should the Convention Director not be available, including but not limited to conducting staff meetings and other duties as needed. The Gaming Manager should be an individual with a working knowledge of various gaming platforms that allows them to set up, take down, and otherwise facilitate the operation of said platforms. These include but is not limited to: computer (PC) gaming, console gaming, and tabletop gaming. The Gaming Manager oversees managing all of the gaming areas of the convention. The Gaming Manager must procure all supplies and equipment for the gaming room as well as contest prizes. The Gaming Manager is responsible for organizing all gaming contests in such a way to avoid conflict with other game related events. The Gaming Manager must also insure that all contests comply with tournament guidelines. The Gaming Manager must be able to answer gaming questions and fill in for any Gaming Staff unable to complete their duties. They must familiarize themselves with the various platforms of competitive gaming, internet and power sources, tournaments and brackets. The Gaming Manager is responsible for procuring the necessary applications for gaming contests and events. Contest Guidelines must be provided and made public six weeks before Senshi Con.
This position maintains the budget throughout the Senshi Con planning phase and aftermath. Applicants must have money handling skills. Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to: make sure tills are correct within the admissions and merchandise stations, ensure all Senshi Con sponsored tills are throughout the day, contact banks for ATMs machines to be ready for the Senshi Con event, and other duties as required. The Treasure Manager will also be responsible for maintain the budget for all departments to continue functioning.
The Events Manager oversees all events related positions, including but possible not limited to: Main Stage, Cosplay Chess, Cosplay Contest, A/V Tech, and Panels. Applicants must be organized, creative, and motivated. Applicants must look at the past events and improve current ones. This individual should have good interpersonal skills, confidence, organization and motivation. This individual will be responsible for scheduling all events within the Events Hall of Senshi Con. The Events Manager must also create and/or update applications for certain activities, occasions, and events before and during Senshi Con.
Public Relations Manager
The Public Relations Manager oversees all Public Relations (PR) related positions, including graphic designer, program book designer, social media, Webmaster, and Editor-in-Chief. This position will need to cater towards the Senshi Con audience via all forms of communications. The PR Manager must contact media outlets to get the advertisements ready from local and out-of-state businesses. The PR Manager will need to keep all forms and applications organized and up-to-date.
The Volunteer Manager oversees all volunteers at the Con and must have two assistants. The Volunteer Manager will create a Senshi Con Volunteer Team consisting of two assistances of their chose to help during Senshi Con itself and a recruiter for UAA/High Schools. The Volunteer Manager will be responsible for creating a procedure for filing emails and information, finding capable new staff/volunteers that are passionate for their job, and discerning who would be best for each job by working with other managers. The Volunteer Manager must be capable of creatively drawing in individuals and having the patience to work with everyone from volunteers to staff. The Volunteer Manager must be willing to go to different clubs/organizations and speak about the positives of working with Senshi Con.
